In short: nothing illegal, harmful or abusive on our services: no malware, phishing, spam, attacks, infringing or explicit content, and no regulated data without an agreement. We act fast on serious problems and work with you on the rest.
1. What this covers
This policy applies to everything you do with SecureGate's services, including websites, apps and files you host with us and the hub itself. It's part of our Terms of Service. You're responsible for your own users and for anyone you let use your account or your hosted site.
2. Content you may not host
- Anything illegal, or that promotes illegal activity.
- Child sexual abuse material. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement.
- Malware, viruses, phishing pages, or anything designed to deceive people into giving up passwords, money or personal information.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Threats, harassment, or content that incites violence; publishing other people's private information without their consent.
- Sexually explicit material.
- Payment card numbers, health information or other specially regulated data, unless we've signed an agreement that covers it.
3. Activity that isn't allowed
- Sending spam or unsolicited bulk email, or hosting sites promoted that way.
- Attacking, scanning or probing other systems, including ours, or trying to get around our security, quotas or limits.
- Running open proxies, cryptocurrency mining, or anything that uses far more resources than a normal site or app of your plan.
- Accessing other customers' data or accounts, or sharing your account to let others do so.
- Reselling our services without our written agreement.
4. What we do about it
We may remove or disable content, suspend a site or account, or end a service if we reasonably believe this policy has been broken. When we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it; for serious harm (malware, phishing, attacks, illegal content) we may act immediately and tell you afterwards. We may report illegal activity to the authorities and cooperate with them.
Our nightly malware scan and firewall help us find problems. If a scan finds something on your site, we tell you and work with you on it; we don't delete files automatically.
5. Reporting abuse or copyright problems
To report abuse, a hacked or phishing site, or content that infringes your copyright on a site we host, email support@securegatetechnologies.com with the address of the page, what's wrong, and your contact details. For copyright, include a description of your work, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, and that your notice is accurate. We act on valid reports promptly.
